So, just as an aside, Fender announces today the option to have a CBS era neck(i.e. big headstock, 9.5" radius, modern C shape, jumbo frets) used in the "Mod Shop" builds. This is a boon to guys/gals like me. I can have a stratocaster put together with a CBS headstock, the pickups I want that are not available on the Performer or Professional series guitars, locking tuners, Elite series bridge, my choice of paint, pickguard and plastic color, hardshell case and still come in less than an Elite series strat. Happy birthday to me!
