Looking forward to seeing these! I stumbled onto this on facebook a while back and was discussing with Tony Karol and a couple of his other students. Might have to organize a field trip!

Here's a fun video that I didn't know existed until a couple of days ago ... Jean talking about the Toronto years a bit! The photos don't really sync with the narrative, but then there don't seem to be any photos of the townhouse shop, the Tarragon Theatre shop, the interior of Portland Street or the interior of the Mt. Pleasant shop for that matter ... so I guess they just had to use what was available.

David - thank you for sharing this the AGF community! What an incredible idea. Who would have ever thought that you could make a living (and make a lasting mark doing what you love) as a luthier?
Best, Rick

I was speaking with a friend of Linda's the other day, and we chatted about this adventure. Loads of fun, art and guitars all in one remarkable project. Great idea and it'll be great to see the final products.

From the workshop of William Laskin ... "The Grip of Toronto" was the ad agency where the Group of Seven met.

Congrats, David!
Anyone else think there should be a petition started for David to regrow his beard? Looking at that old pic makes me hear, "Ho, ho, ho!" Steve |
