Default My Father's Empty Chair, by David Wilcox

It's been ages since I posted here. My father passed away in May 2021, at the age of 93. He and my mother met at Tanglewood -- the summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra -- in 1958 and spent summers there between 1970 and 1991. They have placards on their customary seats in the main shed because of the money they donated over the years.

In late July, I went to Tanglewood to drop off some donations, heard a rehearsal in progress, wandered over to the shed, sat in their seats and broke down.

As I left, I thought, "There has to be a song in here," and thanks to David Wilcox, there is.

This is beautiful and touching. Thank you for sharing.

Did you use David's "custom song program" to have this done?

Beautiful and heartfelt! This is a wonderful song......in spite of the sadness theme.
On the other hand, I can't imagine anyone listening to this and not being healed at least a little!
Thank you for sharing this!
Regards,
Fred

That was really beautiful and touching.

I have been to Tanglewood in the past. I can imagine your feelings and memories under these circumstances.
