Default ***SOLD*** Osthoff 2016 Slope D Brazilian/Adirondack Sunburs

For sale is a 2016 John Osthoff Slope D (Dread) that was built for me and I have been the sole owner of the guitar. The guitar was built with premium Brazilian rosewood for the back/sides and master grade Adirondack (Red) spruce for the top. The guitar does have a sunburst finish that was done by John personally. The sound from this box is absolutely massive with tons of projection and great note separation.

This guitar has a ton of upgrades beyond the tone woods: sunburst finish, Waverly tuners, a torch headstock inlay, antique style snowflake fretboard inlay, a Brazilian rosewood fretboard/bridge, and premium fossilized walrus ivory nut/saddle/pins. John wasn't even offering a slope D model when I commissioned this guitar and it was the one that ultimately pulled that model out of retirement. It is truly a draw dropping instrument in looks and sound.

The guitar has been kept in an appropriately humidified temperature controlled environment and was recently PLEK'd. The frets show no signs of wear. The guitar is essentially mint but there is a <0.5 mm indention just below the bridge...not sure how this got there and it is almost impossible to see but I tried to catch it in the next to last photo for full disclosures sake (see box in photo). Also, not even sure how to describe this, but there is a pinpoint indention right beside the B string tuner peg that I assume happened from a string change but I never noticed it until now (see last photo where it looks like lint on the headstock). The guitar comes with a custom Ameritage case that is embroidered with the Osthoff guitars logo.

Specs:
Top: Adirondack Spruce (Mastergrade)
Back/Sides: Premium Brazilian Rosewood
Neck: Mahogany with satin finish (that is insanely smooth)
Headstock Inlay: Torch w/ Brazilian rosewood overlay
Headstock underlay: Brazilian rosewood
Bridge: Brazilian Rosewood
Binding: Curly Koa (except heelcap which is Brazilian); Entire body is bound including fretboard and headstock
Fretboard Inlay: Antique Snowflake
Frets: Gold EVO (14 to body)
Pickguard: Tor-Tis Firestripe
Tuners: Nickel Waverly w/ Butterbean Knobs
Neck Width at nut: 1.75"
Scale: 25.4"

Price for AGF is SOLD shipped..this is a killer deal on a Brazilian Osthoff. I have sold several guitars on this forum and have a few 5 star reviews on Reverb so you can trust that I am a straight shooter. Happy to provide references if needed. No trades.

Please feel free to message me with any questions and thanks for looking!

Default 2nd Thoughts

I'm not sure I've ever seen a more beautiful Slope D and no doubt it has sublime tone as well.
You should be having 2nd thoughts.
