Default SOLD Taylor GA3 SOLD

2010 Taylor GA3 -SOLD!

$750 shipped to the lower 48. Payment via PayPal or Zelle (my preferred method). Will consider trades with cash either way towards the following: Calton case for an OM plus cash on my end or Acoustic amplifier such as a Fishman mini BT or Artist plus cash on your end. Only interested in the new version Fishmans that don’t have the paper thin Tolex that rips if you sneeze on it.

I purchased this guitar off the forum in February to be a travel instrument and paid $650 for it at that time. Since then, I have put $400 in upgrades and repairs! Travel didn’t work out, so it just sits in the case.

https://www.acousticguitarforum.com/...d.php?t=639422

The guitar needed some work, and the following things have been fixed / upgraded. Seven C Music added a bone nut and saddle, and I went ahead and had them re-set the NT neck while they were at it – total bill for this work was $290! I upgraded the tuners to the smoothest available - Gotoh 510 21:1 in antique chrome finish ($120).

The guitar is in great shape and very clean, with minimal fret wear. With the neck reset and setup, playability is perfect – like a factory fresh Taylor with a good set-up! The only flaw in the guitar is the small repaired crack on the back that has been glued and is fully stable. The original owner sanded it after the repair, and sprayed it with lacquer that contrasts slightly with the satin finish. If I was keeping it, I would either buff it out to semi-gloss, which would pretty much make it unnoticeable or just leave it as is. After all, you can’t see it when you’re playing it. There are a couple of small dings as pictured, but really in good condition overall. The case is a step up from the black fur case that came with 3 series – this is the case that comes with the 5 and up series with the brown exterior & reddish pink interior. Case is solid, but has several scratches, etc. All the latches work, but they are fairly loose – still latch fine, just not with the crispness of a newer case. They still do their job of keeping the lid closed.

So, the million dollar question - why am I selling after buying it and spending the money on upgrades? Well, to be quite honest, because it’s a Taylor. Don’t get me wrong, Taylor makes great guitars, it’s just the bright Taylor sound doesn’t do it for me. I’m just a vintage sound guy at heart. My other guitars are a Martin dread, a Huss and Dalton OM, and an Iris DF Smeck, so you see the pattern here! If you like the Taylor signature sound, this would make you very happy. In fact, this would be the perfect step up from a Taylor GS mini or baby. Slap a pickup in it and you have a great playing and sounding guitar that you don’t have to baby for worry free gigging!

Let me know if you have any questions or need any additional information. I ship same or next day upon payment receipt. The guitar will be carefully & professionally packed for safe arrival!

I had an inquiry regarding scale length: This guitar has the Taylor standard 25.5" scale and Grand Auditorium body. Here's a Spec sheet on this model.

https://www.taylorguitars.com/guitar...3#guitar-specs

The GA, GC, and DN were made for 2-3 years as Taylor tried to distinguish between the purely acoustic non-cutaway guitars and the cutaway electronics versions such as the 10, 12, and 14 CE series. The goal was to focus on the pure acoustic series vs the CE series. It is my understanding that these were the first Taylor models with the relief routing of the tops to improve the unplugged sound via top thickness, etc. Basically, the GA3 is the same as the 314 made at the same time, just without the cutaway and electronics. Hope that helps answer any questions about this model.

Back to the top! Received a really nice and fair trade offer, but unfortunately not exactly what I am looking for. Anyone have a Calton OM case or Fishman Loudbox BT series (new style only)? I can send or receive cash either way for the right deal. Let me know if you have one of these cases or amps being neglected that can be replaced with a great Taylor GA3.

Free Bump for a great "sleeper" guitar at an excellent price. Superb upgrades here! No affiliation ...just a friendly nod toward a great deal.

Hey Edward - Thanks for the plug!

This really is a great deal for someone wanting a US made all solid wood Taylor at a great price that's setup like a factory fresh instrument. This would also be perfect for someone looking for a full size travel or gigging guitar. Let's move it back up from page 4!

Well, Hogs won his Ebay auction, so it's still available. Let's move it back up to page 1.

Once more around the park! Any other interesting trades - lets add a Bose S1 Pro to the potential trade pool! Again, trade can be plus or minus cash if applicable. Thanks!
