Gaultier, Ennemond - Le Tombeau de Mézangeau
Hello everyone,
Here is a piece called the Tombeau of Mézangeau; this piece would apparently be the very first Tombeau written, commemorating the death of René Mézangeau. The Tombeau is a musical composition honoring the death of a notable person. This term comes from the french word "tombe" which means tomb. Most of the Tombeaux were written in the 17th century and composed for lute. Good listening, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yZlrV2-DbTw
