I played in a Beatles cover band for several years, so I got the Ric/Vox setup and loved it. I still have both today and play them regularly. And here's another not-so-secret piece of info: The Ric sounds great with other amps and the Vox sounds great with other guitars. In fact, a Telecaster through an AC15 or AC 30 sounds every bit as chimey as the Ric does.

I am neck insensitive for the most part...probably cuz I suck. But Ric necks are different. Tight and thin...hard to solo on one. Not a lot of room for your fingers. I do not know what it is but they are different. Love the sound. If you have not played one...be sure to spend some time with one before you buy.

I searching for a 1993 plus in fireglo, seems the best for what I am looking for.

I ended up with a 1967 360/12 in Firglo.
One owner guitar with the case and Ric wipe down cloth. The owner kept the string tension down so the neck is still straight.
It sounds great and I find it very easy to play!

Congratulations on your acquisition. i’ve long wanted a guitar like yours.

I have a 1966 Silvertone guitar that has been tuned to E for 51 years with no damage. I have a bespoke classical guitar I had made in 1975 that has always been at concert pitch with no adverse effect. In other words, it is myth that well designed, properly crafted guitars should be detuned when not in use in order to preserve the integrity of the neck.

Completely agree. And while my 2011 330/12 is just a youngster compared with Kenbike's, it's been at concert pitch since I bought it in 2013, and the neck is still flat as a pancake. Close to zero relief, exactly as a good Rickenbacker should be.

I put a new 481 slant fret (now called multi-scale) on layaway.
Not long after it was arduously payed for with Blood, Sweat, and Tears;
it was stolen.
