I've never tried to pick up one of Paul's guitar cases, but he has complained about the handle on one of mine- there's a seam running down the middle of it and he doesn't like that. I'd never noticed it!

And I have played Paul's John Kinnaird beauties with the full Pablo package and it is impressive! I prefer smaller guitars, but I don't even really notice how big Paul's guitars are when I play them. They just are ergonomically so easy to play. And the tone has a depth and an extra something that's just special! And of course, they're gorgeous!

I look forward to hearing this one some day!

Thanks Tom. This IS shaping up to be a sure MONSTER. I believe John has outdone himself on this box!!!

Strange, I had not even noticed the beveled edges on the case latches.... . Come to think of it, I have taken a file to a burred case latch in the past...

Hanter, thanks very much for putting John on to the sweet Curley Mahogany!

Hey, Beth. We both miss you and send major good vibes for you and Randy! And Kira, your beautiful and SWEET dog, too.

I like the abalone purfling so much I am now officially considering some of John's super thin purfling on the top Fretboard binding and headstock. Mission creep.... hahaha

What do YOU think, John?

It would look good with an ebony fingerboard.

Ebony, huh? Much difference in weight between Ebony and your Texas Ebony, which I like a lot?

Or perhaps more Braz, if you have it?

Oh, the choices!

And, Hanter's mini burst bevel and appointments look swell! Tony is Da Man!!!

Cheers

Paul

Pics from John this morning. Whee!!! BRW front and back of headstock. Check out the blocks in the vise, used to protect the neck. Those puppies have done this before!!!

This HS should really pop with the abalone purfling and binding to match the body...

And a fine passel of clamps on the Fretboard which is Ebony over Wenge. John likes a laminated FB for strength and weight reduction. Me too. Really not sure if I could tell the difference, but I have learned to trust the Master.

Everybody have a fabulous day!

SALUD

Paul

Kira is famous!! I don’t know another dog who has had her portrait painted by Phebe! (Paul’s mother in law still paints at age 100!!!)
