Default That Ben Wilborn...!

Photos of my pending Arum came in from Ben yesterday evening. I'm uncharacteristically at a loss for words...!

Just stunning! Ben's comma models are just perfection.

I am certainly interested in hearing how this guitar compares to your others!

The work he’s doing is really quite lovely. I gotta try one of the comma series.

If it is anything like my Arum, it will knock your socks off. Ben has his own thing going, his own esthetics, his own tonal target, his own mad woodworking skills. Please let me know if you aren't completely delighted!

Many thanks for the kind words Everyone! It's quite thrilling to see flat pieces of wood become an object of amazing strength and beauty (which will hardly come as a flash of insight to anyone on this forum )

I agree, Ben has a distinctly individual vision going and it has been fun and interesting to watch (and hear) him develop and refine it over the past few years. This will be the first time I have had a rosewood guitar so, as Bruce suggests, it will be very interesting to see how it sounds - the ultimate test, of course! I will post more photos as the final parts come together.

Thanks again for the interest!

I favor a "low-bling" look. Ben looked at various approaches to binding/diamond inlay/head plate materials and in the end we both agreed that a very simple approach would give the Madagascar rosewood star-billing.

Ben’s work is so clean and unique, and also incredibly tasteful. Congrats on this one! Can’t wait to hear the finished product

I saw this build on Ben's Facebook page, and was blown away by the Madagascar Rosewood. Exceptionally nice set. Congrats!
