Default Custom truss rod wrench

Does anyone out there know where I might have a custom sound hole truss rod wrench made? I need one with a 9/64” hex that has a triple bend (like Stew Mac sells) or , even better, I be similar to the wrench Trevor Kronbauer has for his guitars.

You can make your own, it's very simple. Just heat it and make the bends that you need. Just make sure you cool it down after to put the temper back into the metal. I made my own to fit my Collings

Here is the size you need.

I bought this set from Amazon and made the one in the picture.

Very nice, Bridgepin..
You could probably sell those to guys like me that don't know how (or have tools) to heat and make nice bends in metal.

Perfect! I looked all over for one that was long enough, but couldn’t find one. Did you use a standard propane torch?

That 9/64" truss rod wrench is exactly what I need for my Huss and Dalton. I would love to buy one made like that if I knew where to get it.

I did get a reply from Larrivee’s service dept. They do not make custom wrenches.

Ken, I am going to give this a try. If I am successful I’d be happy to make one for you.

I did, it's a plus if you have a vice to help with the bends.

When you say to cool it down, do you mean something like dunking it in water while it's still red hot?

Thanks.

Water quench may cause it to crack or become to brittle. Best to use oil. Just be ready for it to flame when it first hits the oil.

This is the best way ^^^^ I did use water to quench this truss rod, but I didn't dunk it in a bucket I just ran it under the tap. It has held up for a long time.

Now if I was going to use this to really torque something down I would have used oil to quench it. This wrench has only one purpose and that is to be used on my Collings guitar. The most I have ever had to turn that truss rod is a half a turn one way or the other so there is never any torque placed upon it.
