Default The Netflix Thread

I've just finished 'Godless,' starring Michelle Dockery - you know, Lady Mary in Downton Abbey! What a terrific actor she is. Talk about a change of roles!

Anyway, it was an excellent series. Just one season for now, but perhaps more will follow. Anyone seen it or have any other good Netflix recommendations?

I've enjoyed watching The Crown and Peaky Blinders.

The Crown has been fantastic. Enjoyed The Queen’s Gambit as well.

We’re one episode from finishing Ozark before the new season.

Really too many to say but those come to mind….

My kids and wife have been the big consumers but in past weeks I've resumed (getting to the end) Schitt's Creek and my wife who disliked it early on now loves it.

I watched Komiskey Method a year or so ago and maybe being a boomer is why I enjoyed it.

Maybe I should look deeper but YouTube takes more of my time.

My wife loves Schitt's Creek - I can't stand it. We did finish In the Dark the other night and it was a good series. I too watch mostly YouTube content there are some fantastic content creators out there.

SEX EDUCATION. The basic/initial premise is that it follows a couple of students who run a sex therapy clinic at their secondary ed (high school) in England. Really fun and interesting characters, hilarious, very sex positive, and just open and empathetic.

Cowboy Beebop. I am depressed that they cancelled it after one season. I can't begin to list what all we watch on Netflix and Prime, and those aren't the only two. The only thing I don't stream is the local news and Fallon.

We have Netflix for one device as part of our senior package T-Mobile cell phone plan. Since the price seems decent compared to the other plans we looked at elsewhere, I can't see where we are paying extra for Netflix.

The problem we have with Netflix is most of the movies and TV shows we checked out seem rife with what is to us, extreme violence and material probably best suited for a porn site. I don't understand why this is necessary, so we end up not really watching much.

Not "necessary" it's just clearly what most people want to view (or they wouldn't be showing that content).

The Queen’s Gambit and Komiskey Method are superior shows. And I liked Squid Games a lot.

I stopped watching one series when the guy got a boyfriend and they kissed all the time.

Hahaha, this sounds like someone's seven-year-old nephew getting grossed out by "kissing movies".
