2015 Martin CEO-7 Custom EIR
At my wife's urging, I have decided not to sell this guitar for the time being.
I bought this from long-time forum member MHC when it was just a couple weeks old. It was played lightly by my father-in-law once every week or two over the years but sadly, he recently passed. It has been kept humidified in its factory case away from heating sources and monitored assiduously through each New England winter. Condition remains nearly the same as when MHC originally listed the guitar (link with pictures below). I'll take a few more pictures in the coming days. https://www.acousticguitarforum.com/...d.php?t=407384 The specs are like a standard CEO-7 with the following upgrades: 1) East Indian Rosewood Back and Sides (a beautiful set) 2) Natural finish (a beautiful, creamy Adirondack top) 3) Modified Low Oval neck (super comfy) 4) Waverly Nickel 4060 tuners (a big upgrade!) 5) 2 ¼ ” string spacing at the saddle (slightly narrower than the standard) This guitar is beautiful, rich, and articulate. It also projects some serious volume. The tone has all the beauty of the regular CEO-7 but with a bit more resonance. What is especially nice is that the guitar produces lovely rosewood overtones without any hint of mudiness. The combination of the short scale, with the MLO neck, 2 ¼” string spacing, and 1 ¾” nut width makes for extremely comfortable playability. In my opinion the 2 ¼” string spacing is ideal for both fingerpicking and flatpicking. It looks like these are running about $2700 new. Mine is still in like new condition and I think sounds better now that the Adirondack top has aged a bit. I have decided to forego selling this guitar due at the moment. Thank you everyone who has expressed interest. If things change I will reach back out..

I remember this guitar when it was available a few years ago.
What struck me was the natural finish, as I'm simply not a sunburst guy. But I'm in liquidation mode, and you're not helping with that endeavor. This is sooo tempting! Again. Let's hope someone snags this fast so I don't violate my resolve to reduce. GLWS |
