Default LAKEWOOD D-14 12 STRING - SOLD

I recently purchased this guitar from the original owner who bought it while living in Germany. I broke my arm about 2 years ago and at the time sold my Lakewood J32 12-string... I thought I was ready for another 12 string but unfortunately am feeling pain in my right elbow when I play...so...I thought I would move it along to someone else instead of letting it sit in its case!

I've owned several Lakewoods over the years (including 12 strings) and am always amazed at the superb quality, fit and finish. This is a Lakewood D14-12, in excellent condition (one ding on the back of the headstock and a mark on the top next to the fretboard, both pictured.) With few US distributors, you rarely see these pop up here.

This is an exceptionally balanced guitar. Very full and rich sounding. It has a full low end that rounds out the sound beautifully and prevents the unfortunate high-end tinniness of many 12 strings. It has excellent natural volume and projection as well. A passive pickup (no batteries) and endpin jack have been professionally installed. Ready to plug in and play right away. I've also replaced the bridge pins.
Always kept in a smoke-free environment and properly humidified in all seasons.
Will be very carefully packed prior to shipping.

SOLD Shipping to USA (48 contiguous states).

Lakewoods are fantastic. Owned 3 over the years. One of them I bought from sevenpalms. Great guy. Honest and easy to deal with.

Hi, I'm afraid I'm not in the market, but back in the late '90s - I had a pair of Lakewoods (M-14 and an M12-??).

I also had a Martin J-40 and a Martin J12-40.

The Lakewoods were, by far, my preferred gigging weapons.

They were beautifully, if solidly built, simple in presentation but superb to play - in fact although I now have a wonderful Martin rebuilt 1964 D12-20 - That Lakewood M12 was possibly the best 12 string I ever had (and I've had a few!)

Thanks sir! I’ve had 3 Lakewood 12 strings...and all have superb note separation...not muddy like many 12 strings. And the build quality is excellent. I’m sure yours was a great one too!

I'm really surprised this instrument is still available at this price. A chance to step up to a handmade 12 string at factory price. If I was even a little bit in the market, I would be all over this one. To echo others, Jeff is a good guy to deal with. I speak with first-hand experience.
