Bridge pins not straight - will it be an issue?

So I restrung my Gibson J-45 Studio for the first time yesterday, bridge pins were being a bit of a pain popping back up slightly but had no issue in the end with the low E, A, D & G strings (guided them up through the sound hole. However after completing all strings I've noticed the low e & b strings' bridge pins are slightly diagonal. I couldn't get a good enough picture so I'll try to explain. Basically where the indent in the pin is, instead of facing straight down the neck, they're both slightly off-center. I noticed some small wood flakes near the low e bridge pin hole, so assume that happened as the ball at the end of the string was making its way through a smaller gap than usual.

I'm just wondering if this might cause any issue if left, additional tension on the bridge for example?

Doesn't sound "normal", but a picture would help. If you have some kind of
mirror I think it would pay to see what stuff looks like on the inside. Is your
bridge plate OK? Have you not seated the string ends on the strings where
the pins don't seem right? I had the e and b strings off this guitar the other day
which gave me enough room to easily get my phone up in there...

if I understand what the OP is trying to say:

The bridge pin slots are slightly rotated.

The strings come up the slots. The slots have to be wider than the strings so there is space to turn a little bit. Doesn't mean anything.

Good shout with the mirror, will see if I can get a good snap with it. Bridge plate is fine yeah, I'm only talking very minor flakes of wood where it's (I suspect) grazed a bit of the bridge pin hole when pushing it back in after rising up. The string ends are sitting where they should be from what I can see at least and no issues after playing for several hours with it so hopefully stays that way - cheers Mike

That's correct yeah, so the the slots in the bridge pins aren't facing straight down the neck's direction basically.
