Surpassed my expectations
Thank you Ruthyel. You are absolutely right. When I received this guitar it surpassed my expectations. Also, it played so easily, I thought it was a short scale (it is not).

If I did not have a Martin 000-15sm, I would jump on it. I hope it sells soon so I don't have to scratch this itch.

Super fun to play this guitar. The feel of these 1929s bring out such creativity. Let your imagination run free creating music never heard...

Thursday bump for a Santa Cruz 1929.
The elongated body gives it a full sounding bass that is well balanced. |

Things to love about these guitars. The tone and feel are great for fingerstyle, blues, jazz and medium strumming. The simple but elegant design, classy headstock, and light burst makes the guitar stand out. Super easy to play, as I alluded to in a previous post, I thought it was a short scale it plays so easily.

Thank you for the great comments. I think the guitar is excellent up to medium strumming. I actually used it in a recording and the guitar was so easy to EQ and has such a clean, rich tone. When I first received it, it exceeded my expectations, and I could not put it down.

Nice one! How does it sound? I have a 000 15S fulll gloss body. I got it new in 2000. It used to have a lot of sparkle. It'was stored the past 4-5 years I got it out to visit and the sound has changed for the worse. It's now deep Dark & Dreadnaught like...sort of a Mini Dred... A couple days oin the Tonerite should make things right again...
How are the Trebs, Mids & Bass on your Sants Cruise? I ask because I want to buy one. They are amazing but like the rest, each has it's particulars... Thanks, Raylon |

Thmpick,
The highs, mids, lows are remarkably balanced. If you watch Richard Hoover share his passion and philosophy on what makes a master piece guitar, it explains why his guitars are so special. The feel, look, attention to detail are about as good as it can get. Hope this helps. |
