ebook: Infection Control for Instruments
https://eastmanmusiccompany.com/infection-control-for-instruments
Found this link to free ebooks written by a team of health care pros. Probably commissioned by the woodwinds side of the business. Eastman's founder Qian Ni is a flautist who graduated from the Boston University School of Music. Lots of good info for parents and players of instruments used in school bands. À few points apply to string instruments ie various allergies. Are you concerned about guitar hygiene? Cheers.

Not a concern. Don't share your instrument with others.

I was skeptical at first but the opening paragraph reminded me of something:
I worked in the medical device industry and we would get device back for repair or service. I instituted a policy and program of decontamination because they would sometimes come back looking like a crime scene. So it makes sense that an instrument repair-er will want an instrument full of player spittle to be decontaminated. I downloaded it and look forward to reading it.

A good resourse, especially if one is involved with any summer kid's programs.
