Barnes and Noble and Audible. After the last move, I have done my best to reduce clutter, which means less books when possible.

We have a quaint little mom & pop here in my town, and I always go there first. It's in a 100-year old cottage, so all the rooms and doorways are small. Throw in a bunch of bookshelves, and it's pretty cramped. I'm a fairly large guy, so I have to move carefully in there, or risk bumping into a shelf unit and setting off a chain reaction and destroying the whole place.
Good selection and prices, though.

I am pretty much 100% kindle. Found a wonderful pastor who passed on at age 95 in 2012 CS Lovett, I buy his books at Abe Books.

Perhaps the conversation has broadened into a general, where do you get your books discussion? Does it really matter? No need to keep score.

Not a "scorekeeping" thing at all. OP asked a question and some chose to answer their own. Most people read a thread Title and not the post obviously.

I'm surprised that eBay was only mentioned once. There are many good used and out-of-print books for sale on eBay. Fiction especially can be found cheaply and many times with free shipping.

I've ordered from eBay a few times when I was working in the US. I find in Canada that the shipping is too expensive to make it worth it ... at least for books you can find elsewhere.

Thank you Karen. I didn’t know who owns who.
