Default 3 teeth vs two guitars[emoji848]

So two months ago my wife needed two root canals and crowns. I thought, I could have had that Yairi I want. Of course the teeth come first.
This month I broke a tooth and had a root canal and crown.. could have gotten a pretty nice guitar for that.
But I am so thankful that we Could cover the teeth without borrowing or doing without the dental work. But I must admit at Times I compare things like house and car repairs and such to the price of guitars.
What has come before your newest guitar wish lately?

Funny. A couple of years ago I told the Mrs. that if I can somehow find money to pay these medical expenses I sure as heck can find it to buy a nice guitar or two.

Everything thatís essential comes before new guitars with me and itís been that way for many years.

However, my first nice guitar, a used Ď65 J-45 was purchased with $120 that could have been used elsewhere. I was around 20 at the time, so I think that gets me a pass.

I recently had a car accident and the insurance company totaled my car. One of my options was to keep a mechanically sound vehicle with a big stinkin' dent in it along with some compensation from the insurance company, which I took. I am trying to accumulate as much cash as I can to afford what I want to replace the old car. My bank account balance is considerably larger than normal and I was commenting to a co-worker that I have never had that much cash on hand without buying a guitar. I could easily afford one of my more expensive guitar wants but the money is going to a vehicle replacement. I'm aiming for an all-cash deal.

New solid oak flooring in every room downstairs. I could have bought several really nice guitars for what that cost. However, all of the guitars that I do have now sound a whole lot better in those rooms that used to be carpeted.

Saving for retirement... which I did on 8/1/20.
I have been able to fund my guitars and other hobbies from side hustles like auto detailing or flipping great deals I find at garage sales or on CL and FB marketplace.
