Default Greenfield GF demo

Hello Everyone,

I received a Greenfield GF friday, and thought it would be helpful/useful for users to post about it. I'm extremely happy with the guitar so far. It's very responsive and easy to play (even with mediums). The things I'm most impressed with are the craftsmanship, the volume and the balance.

Although there are a few great videos on youtube, I haven't yet heard a quality audio recording, so I decided to do a quick one. So this is just 9 minutes of uncut playing (no compressor), and I tried to include various styles (folk, bluegrass, jazz/blues etc.), techniques (strumming, finger picking, percussive, flat picking, soloing), capo/non-capo, and drop d tuning. I didn't have much time, so this isn't the cleanest playing, but hopefully it'll give you an idea of how the guitar plays/sounds.

Here's a lower quality link, and a better quality one for download.

If you have any questions or comments let me know! I'll post a more detailed review when I've spent more time playing it.

Thanks,

Eric

That sounds really nice! Great playing too.

Any pics?

Which did you get? Rosewood or mahogany? Any cutaway?

Nice! Sounds v balanced indeed, great trebles too.

How do you find it compares to the G1? I'm expecting my GF to arrive in the next month or so, but have only tried a G1 and G4 so far.

Enjoy your new toy!

I like the soundclip. As others have mentioned I would love to see pictures and the specs of the guitar.

I think GF's have the same specs. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks for the extended clip! It was great to hear one of those strummed. How low do you think you can tune it with the 25.6 scale-length? Do you think you could use DADGAD tuned down to CGCFGC?
