Default Praise for Roger Skipper dreadnaught

This is to recommend Roger Skipper of Oakland, Maryland (skipperstrings.com) as a builder of great-sounding guitars. Well, at least the rosewood and red spruce dreadnaught I bought on impulse from Gruhn's Guitars in Nashville this summer sounds great.

Only one year old according to the build date and it already sounds pretty good. Just a strum is inspiring. Decent finger-picking guitar too. This particular guitar was built with simple sound hole stripes with a satin finish on the back and sides to keep the cost down I suppose. My local guitar fixer polished the satin to a decent gloss with swirl remover (sorry Roger).

Sold my Huss and Dalton DRH with no regrets.

I forgot to mention my past guitars I compare this Skipper to:
A few beginner guitars then
Guild D35
Tacoma cedar rosewood
Taylor 810
Yamaha handmade
Goodall Cedar standard
Santa Cruz slope shouldered dread mahogany
Taylor 510
Martin HD28
Larrivee D50
Huss & Dalton DRH

Finally found what I was looking for sound-wise. Geez, the money I've spent over the years! This list doesn't even include a few classical guitars and one Alvarez I use when going to jams in the winter.
