Which program to sync audio and video?

Howdy folks,

I used to use Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 for this, but I this was much too heavy for the little editing I wanted to do.
When REAPER came with video support I started using that, but nowadays I'm on an x64 system and none of this seems to want to work anymore.
Does anybody have a solution for me?
If it has the same edit and ouptut capabilities as REAPER has it's enough.

Have you been to the Reaper forum and asked about your problem? What exactly is your issue with Reaper (more detail than "it doesn't work any more")? Have you upgraded (free) to the x64 version and applied all the correct x64 drivers? You might simply try running Reaper as administrator (in Windows 7 x64 you would find this in the program properties) as that seems to fix a bunch of user access issues in Windows programs.

I use Vegas on Windows...then I use the PluralEyes plugin, which syncs it automatically.

I've just been experimenting with the same, i downloaded the trial version of Cyberlink power director, seems to be ok and quite easy to sync using timelines.

Windows movie maker works fine and its free, only problem is it does not support Mpeg 4, which most cameras use now, so some additional conversion software is required.

I have ditched REAPER for video, I can't really be bothered fixing it either.
1) I'm running on the x64 version
2) I have the x64 ffmpeg library which apparently doesn't work well with REAPER
3) I've started trying Vegas

The problem? The audio is excellent, but the video is not playing at the same speed (faster) as the audio is.

Is it possible to upgrade the drivers in Vegas in some way? So I could like, export to H.264 instead of 263?

I think the simplest thing to do is download and install REAPER 32 and use that for video until things get fixed on the 64 bit side. You can have both 32 and 64 on the same machine at the same time, the license is good for both copies.

I wasn't able to get it to work anymor eon x86 either. I think it's in the sample rates but I'm not sure.

Vegas does do the job fine.

reaper: render settings 48k 16 bit

and then vegas for the sync.
I've been doing this for a while.
this is what I've found to work the best (by far) for me.
I have tried a few other things. nothing else comes close to doing reasonably easy syncing.
and it was cheap. vegas was $50. reaper not alot more, for a 2 year license.
