James Taylor's Acoustic Setup
For those interested in how James gets such great sound (I think his Olson may have alot to do with it). Read down abit and his sound tech "sounds" off.

He didn't mention which LR Baggs pickup they were using for James but for many years he has used the LB6. The Tone Bone looks really interesting too.
Good article, Thanks |

Neverbeen a Bette Midler fan, but that is quite a testimonial of her ethic/character as well.

OK, educate me... so you run the guitar to the tone-bone and then split it and run one signal to the Aura and another straight to the board?
I run my own sound from the powered mixer on stage. Not quite sure how or why I would run one signal direct from the tone-bone and one from the Aura?

Great article link - thanks!
I used the Baggs Para-DI for years, read that JT and many others adopted the Radial, so I bought one. My big interest was in the ability to switch guitars, as well as of course "the tone". Well, the switching doesn't work for me because the 2nd input does not have its own eq, and I need that badly. I could never dial in a significantly more wonderful tone, and I guess I was more comfortable with the PADI anyway, so I'm back to using a separate Baggs for each guitar. Guess I need to sell the Radial... |

He must have reverted back to the LB6; he had Joe B. at Fishman install a Matrix in at least one of his Olsons. I think at the same time they made his custom Aura images.
I could be wrong, but I think I remember reading that on the Fishman site at one point. |

I recall reading the same thing.... Joe B is a regular here, and has been very helpful to me in the past (questions re: the Aura units)
