Default AKG c535 microphone ??

Folks anyone use one of these
They get good reviews and in particular I would be curious as to feedback rejection on this mic
I use K and K mini and plug into Daedalus

Thanks

That has been a great mic for them for YEARS. Do you want vocals or instrument use?

Default 535 A Great Live Condenser Mic

Aloha Towzer,

I use a blended K&K mini/AKG 416 in the left channel and an AKG 535 mic for my vocals on the right channel into an SPS-1. Works for me!

My voice really loves that 535. That's my main live vocal mic and I own some more expensive ones that don't work as well for my voice.

I have used it on guitar occasionally as well. Excellent feedback resistance is my experience with it and I play a wide range of venues.

I bought mine from Ben Harper for $150 a couple years back. New, they're around $299.

Recommended, Towz!

I've got an old 535EB I picked up in the 80's. Still works great for micing my steel strings acoustics and it gets very good gain before feedback with a Bose L1, Model 1. Very nice clean and detailed tone but not too bright.

I think these are the best bang for the buck. I use them for vocals and instruments when I am in a coffee house or "listening" venue or recording they are great. Particularly good for female vocals.

I have had mixed results using them in a loud environment, i.e. bar... they can feed back. I usually resort to EV's or Shure's.
