Battery Bag-LR Baggs
Hello,
Has anyone else had issues with the battery bag not sticking to the block on the inside of the guitar? I have a LR Baggs Element and this has happened 4 times this year. Last time I replaced the Velcro sticky side hoping it would adhere to the block better but no luck. I even got a lithium battery as some had suggested to make the weight a little lighter on the bag. Any suggestions? I really like the pickup and how It sounds. Just need a way to stick that little bag on better. Thanks, Rob |

When I 1st joined the AGF I posted a similar question and I made a note of this suggestion.
- Try Velcro brand Industrial Strength Tape 4" x 2" - 2 per pack - black - around $4.00 on Amazon. Apparently they use a stronger adhesive than normal Velcro. Here's a link but it might be in Australian dollars. https://www.amazon.com/VELCRO-Brand-...trength+2+inch

Battery bag issue
One of the reasons I went with the K&K Mini. No battery.

Me too. I've used the Baggs and swapped out to the K&K. The Element went into a fretless semi-acoustic bass that I built and worked great for that, especially since I also added a Externally accessed Gotoh battery box!

Have had a Baggs in my guitar for several years and it's battery bag has never been any problem.

Ditto
If you want to keep the same pickup, I agree with using industrial strength Velcro. Even on just the guitar half, it really fixed the same problem for me.
Good luck, Stan |

When i first got mine the bag came unstuck. I just put it back in and applied a little more pressure and it’s stuck right there ever since. Lots of outdoor heat and humidity gigs and it’s still there.

Timely post. The Baggs battery bag in my CA Cargo came unstuck recently. Off to Amazon - thanks, for the thread, Rob...and the suggestion, Bruce!

Thanks everyone. Just ordered the industrial strength Velcro. I’ll give it a shot. Small price to pay for a good pickup. Sounds killer in my 000-15m.

I have the Element and Battery Bagg on 2 guitars, fully inconvenient stupid idea, eh? After the 3rd time they fell of, literally with a ‘bang’, I put a spot of superglue on a cotton tip and there the A part of the velcro has stayed....
I love my barn door guitar with battery capsule! (Gasp , they all go!) BluesKing777. |

I have a 2015 L-00 Red Spruce limited edition, 12 fret neck and no issues on the battery pack staying put.

I have not had a problem with either of my guitars with the Anthem SL system (both have the battery bags stuck to the upper bout.)
Even when I haven't "seated" the bag real well on the pad inside, they still haven't come loose, not once... you aren't using your guitar for a canoe paddle or softball bat, are you? If the portion of the velcro that is stuck to the inside of the guitar is what's coming loose, then it may a function of having a bit of dust or dirt where the velcro sticks on to the guitar. Maybe clean that part with some alcohol on a cotton swab, let it dry and then re-stick the pad... or re-locate the pad to the upper bout from the heel block. As I said, that's where mine are and neither has come loose... I had an active Fishman Matrix in both these guitars prior to the Anthem SL's, and the Fishman had a "clip" that screwed into the heel block inside that the battery then was affixed to... no bag. No issue with those either, except for being a total pain-in-the-butt to change batteries!

Ha Nope not using it for that. It is on the block and just isn't staying stuck there. I sit and play, don't jump around or nothing.
I think i will try placing it on the upper bout as you mentioned, maybe it will stick better there. Thanks for the tip! |

I had similar issue..
First I cleaned the area with some Isopropyl alcohol on a clean cloth.. Let it dry for good while. Then used 3M Dual Lock (similar to velcro)... The trick is to stick it on and let it sit for a long while to adhere. Prior to putting the weight of the battery on it. It is on there... Not going anywhere! Also I really like the 3M Dual lock. Much better tight grip than Velcro .. |
