Default NUGD Recording King Series 11 Parlour

had this one for a little bits but finally finished what needed to be done on her. Recording King Series 11 Parlour. Solid Sitka top, Solid African mahogany back and sides. Padauk fingerboard and bridge. Ultrathin satin Tobacco sunburst finish, bone nut and saddle with fishman pickup system. These are much nicer (imo) than the earlier series with lam back and sides. sounds real nice with Earthwood Silk and Steels on her once i set her up, dressed the frets, etc etc.

I love that series of Recording Kings. They really have that vintage sound, great for recording when you want that gut-bucket, earthy tone for something. Sometimes you have to do a bit of set-up on them, but they are so cool.

Very nice addition to your impressive collection.

I agree that the 11 series burst hits things just right. This is the 000 size.

tks Railroad Bum, appreciated. I agree with you on this series of RKs, awesome tone. The materials used on these are exceptional imo and they are beautiful guitars but you are right it seems to be a common theme on this series that they require a lot of set up work off the shelf including the fret dressing. again though the materials they used to build them should equate to a much higher priced instrument.

I think most Recording Kings are well-made but need a bit of love to dial them in. I did not realize the 11 series went to all-solid construction--that's cool.

I really, really like their higher end dreadnoughts, but the last thing I need is another guitar. I think RK is one of the best values on the market right now, and I love your parlor model, my friend.
