Default Update on neck up device

I'm back using a neck up device, the De Oro Classical Support

I found that for easy 1st position playing my home made suction cup held strap was fine, but when it was really important to have proper fretting hand angle the straps failed. The guitar just couldn't get in the right position.

I experimented with the De Oro and watched Brad Werner playing in one of his videos and I managed to copy his angle (which worked fine for me). As an added bonus I noticed that the center of the top suction cups of the De Oro lined up with the bottom of the fretboard and the bottom suction cup center lined up with the bottom of the bridge. So now I have consistent placement of the device.

Barry,

I have both the DeOro and the NeckUp and I find the NeckUp to be more user friendly plus the natural leather finish looks more at home on the guitar.

I don't have any issues with suction cup damaging the finishes on my guitars.

Hope this is helpful.

Cheers,

Bob
