Default What's wrong with this picture?

It's no secret that I've sold a bunch of guitars but I couldn't imagine using pictures of the item from a computer screen.https://reverb.com/item/60004804-eme...t-black-carbon Despite the seller having the same first name as me, there's no relation....

It may not be the right way to sell but it's The Cowboy Way! Thank You, "Too Slim."

That's not a bad price ($2275 shipped) if all is like new as stated for this 2022 Emerald.

Oooh cheesy. Must not know how to do a screen capture, or take a picture of his guitar, even though he could take a picture of his computer screen. And, yeah, not a bad price.

Curious. He's also listing an X30, which he did manage to take some pictures of, as well as some similar screenshots to this listing.

There is something rotten in Denmark. I'd stay far away.

I reported it. A listing shouldn't be allowed that displays a picture of a guitar on a computer screen. Whether the seller is a scammer or not, it sure opens the door for scam....

There’s no accounting for personal circumstances, of course, but I found it a little odd that he was listing two close-to-brand-new Emeralds at a substantial discount from new.

Good catch, folks. I don't spend time perusing the Classifieds here or on Reverb. That kind of behavior would be hard on the wallet.

That said, a photo of the computer screen? Kinda makes you think the guitar isn't actually there, huh? Too bad there are so many scammers out there... at least this one was dumb enough that it was caught fairly expeditiously.
