Speakon connection with a powered speaker?
I played a stage yesterday where a lot of fine gear was being used. Each side of the stage had big box powered subs and speaker poles flying what i believe were QSC powered speakers ( a pair on each side) . Subs and speakers had power cords and xlr connections being used. Each of the four main speakers also had speakon connections in use. I couldn't see where these cables went from my place on stage but can't figure out why they were being used at all. Any ideas?
Thx and be safe. Harmon |

Possibly to subs?
We use a Bose system that uses speacons between the power module and the subs |

Possibly Powercon (power connector, looks a lot like Speakon). I take on board you've already identified the power cables, so maybe not.

Hmmmmm....Wonder if maybe they have "house subs" under the stage. That's fairly common. They could also be using it to feed a distribution system. There a house audio tech?
