Question Advice on buying new guitar

Hi there,
I’m looking to buy a new small body acoustic. This is what I’d like:
  • 00
  • 14 fret
  • Mahogany body and neck
  • Spruce or mahogany top
  • Rosewood fingerboard
  • Sunburst
I’m a singer, songwriter - I’d like a more country sounding guitar with good mid and bass sound and good projection.
My budget is max £1200 really, I could stretch a little further. I’ve been drooling over the *Eastman E10 00 SS/V bit s little out of my price range. Also have only watched YouTube videos as no stockist near me. But love it’s looks. Help with what to buy in my price range would be great! Thanks in advance
Yracy

The Eastmans give you a lot of musical instrument for the money...

The Eastman E10 OO SS can be had for a few quid over GBP1200.

As far as I can see, the only difference (apart from the sunburst vs antique varnish finish) is the wider nut width on this model. It might also be worth noting that the newer SSVs are being built with ebony instead of rosewood.

A slightly used Martin CEO-7 would match your specs exactly.

Thanks for your advice. I think Martins are s bit out of my price range. Anyone think Blueridge are a good option? Br163 - although I think it’s a 000?

The Blueridge would be a great choice for you.
I had a BR-63 a few years ago that was a very nice guitar.
Good prices and looks.

It is a great Pac-rim substitute for an OM-21. Mine plays and sounds wonderful.

The BR-163 is rosewood back and sides. The BR-143 is mahogany.

I've had a BR-180 for a while and really like it. BR makes smaller body guitars in 12 and 14 fret versions. Maury's used to be a BR dealer and he had a video comparing the 142 (12 fret) and 143 (14 fret) guitars. To me, the 12 fret version sounded better, but this of course is a very subjective opinion. Blueridge guitars seem hard to find, but I'm very happy with the guitar I got for the price.

I'm going to give you different advice....
Once you find the guitar that makes you want to play..makes you smile
Then quit looking because every guitar has its strong point and weakness and playing other guitars will only bring those points out that you wouldn't have found if you were not playing other guitars..Unless you want to own a bunch of Maybe's and never the "ONE" So end your search once you find that one, and you buy it.
Because the next step is to bond to the guitar of your choice, it will be the extension of yourself and feel like a well-fitting glove...an old friend and you'll never fully find that if you keep looking for the next best thing...
Take a look at a lot of the Pro's and the guitars they own a lot of them they have had for so long the finish is worn off..or a hole in the top from a pick or...

Thank you so much everyone for your wonderful advice. I think it’s amazing that people come forward and help. TBH I find it really difficult to go in shops and try out guitars. I’ve been playing for years but it can be quite intimidating. I need to narrow it down and then go in and try a few! It’s so important and yes, an extension of yourself.
