Default Going to California

This one took a bit of work. I mostly hybrid pick, and this is my 1st attempt at a fingerstyle arrangement sans pick. It took longer than usual to work up, and I'm still trying to slap that thumb into submission, but I thought it turned out not too bad. For a first go anyway.

Guitar is my Gibson L-100 Nick Lucas. Hope you like it. (Arr by K. Valleau but I changed it up quite a bit)

This song is a gig staple of mine but my version is oversimplified compared to this. Nice take on a classic, thanks for sharing.

Thank you. To me, the guitar and mandolin parts are so intertwined in this song that I had a hard time separating them. I did my best to try to incorporate them together. Your version or mine, still a great song. I don't know why, but for some reason, the song makes me think of fall.

One of my all-time favorite songs — your version sounds great!

You can hear my version if you look at the videos on the Emerald guitar Facebook page.

Very enjoyable. I'll be stealing some ideas from that!

Steal away! It's in what I call "double drop D" btw. Both low E and high E are dropped to D.
