I have gone years without looking at classifieds of any kind. I have only once ever even gone out with the intention of buying a guitar. I did not have anything particular in mind my only criteria being it be new or newish. My problem is guitars tend to just show up when I am least expecting them. Not a bad problem to have I guess.

There is a classified section? JK. I look there maybe three times a year, often if someone mentions a carbon fiber guitar (my current interest) for sale. But I'm not actively in the market for anything any more. It is far more likely that I would post "for sale" entries than look at "to buy" items.

I browse the classifieds daily, and I've bought some things there, but never a guitar...

Mostly because the prices listed on the used guitars, too much of the time, are equal to or exceed the price I can buy the same guitar new...

I realize some folks may have paid MSRP for that new Martin and not be aware that major discounts can be had for the asking, but I'm not willing to reimburse them for that mistake out of my pocket...

I only occasionally look at the classifieds here....I’m constantly looking at Reverb and EBay simply because I love acoustic guitars!

I used to seriously browse the classified section. Now that I'm retired and not planning any more guitar purchases, I might look occasionally but not seriously. In fact, I usually only look at the thread title and rarely open an ad.

I seldom go to the classified here on AGF. I never look at Craigslist or Reverb. I do occasionally look at Facebook Marketplace. But I don't buy used so if I do happen to look it is just to see what's there. It is never with any intention to actually buy something. I'm not a recreational buyer in general.

I was stuck in Turkey once on a dive boat for two weeks. One of the mods texted my wife to make sure I wasn't dead in a ditch somewhere.
