Default Joel Stehr Small Jumbo Build FINISHED!!!!

I thought I'd close out the thread with a new one that shows the completed guitar. This is what I will be taking delivery on this Friday 6/11.
I AM PSYCHED!!

If you ever have a chance to work with Joel Stehr or Tom Doerr, do not hesitate. I repeat "do not hesitate". These are 2 of the most talented fun to do a build with, guys, out there. I have had a fantastic time this past year putting this together with Joel and he has been such a pleasure to work with, and has such a great sense of what would look good. He would come up with suggestions, but always make me feel that the final decision was mine on anything related to the build. And boy, is he open to suggestions! Alot of the aesthetics on this guitar were my idea, such as the half bevel and the small Jumbo body style and he took the ideas and ran with them, ultimately improving on what I had had in mind. So anywho, here are the pics of the final product. Please let me know what you think. Tom

Tom,
I obviously knew a few hours ago already and checked out all the pics. Great looking guitar, very cool appointments. A true beauty, I am sure you will like it. Congratulations and enjoy!

Hey Tom,

That's a beauty! Though I usually don't go as much for lighter colored tonewoods such as Myrtle, this one is striking. I particularly admire the aesthetics of the darker bevel and trim - and the binding on the port is just beautifully finished - congrats!

Thumbs up

I know you've heard this before: she's a real beauty, Tom
And you were right about working with Joel - that's a pleasure, for sure.

I just recorded some sound clips with the help of my son, who happens to be the talented one in the family. He was on his way to a show however and won't be able to mix down the clips until tomorrow morning. Just out of curiosity, how do I post sound clips? What format do they need to be in? Is there a website I can put them on like Photobucket only for sound? Thanks for any help you can give me. Tom

Not sure how to post the clips, Tom, but I think people usually post on other sites and then include a link here. What's the sound like?

SWEEET!! I really like this guitar. Nice deep bass response. Bright lively trebles. Big overall sound. I'm very impressed that Joel is getting this kind of tone. I'll email you a couple.
