........ well, not literally!

I've already posted a couple of pieces: "El Torcal", played on my Stonebridge GS-23-CR and "Warts 'n' All", played on a Walden G2070.

This third piece was recorded using my Walden G3030CE (all-solid cedar/rosewood GA acoustic cutaway), which has an almost classical feel to it as well as a more strident midrange. There is a natural compression to this guitar, so once you've compressed the recording to make the dynamic range more manageable, it almost sounds too compressed. All in all, though, I'm quite happy with the sound and this guitar's voice is one of the sweetest I've ever come across.

The piece itself also has quite a different feel. "Signing Off" was the first piece I wrote after joining a local art group and in a sense it was a "breakthrough" piece for me as it gave me a bit more confidence in both my writing and playing. So whilst the piece itself has an air of finality about it, for me it was more a case of "signing on"!
