Default new to harp guitar wish me luck!

I just purchase a used "Lark in the Morning" Dyer-style harp guitar. six normal strings and 6 bass strings. I hope this new journey is a fun one. I've been to some harp guitar forums already. any tips or good reading material to get me started?

Okay I'm definitely wishing you luck. I have been close to picking up a Harp guitar myself but it hasn't worked out quite yet. I assume you've been here http://www.harpguitarmusic.com/ Enjoy, and I'll be following along this thread myself!

I've had my harp guitar for only 4 days and I really like it a lot. It really is fun to play. but I'm scared that I'll like it too much that I'll have to commission a better one

Duh! I should have included a link to Gregg's Blog. He has posted a brief description of each days events plus lots of other Harp Guitar related news.
http://harpguitars.net/blog/

If you go to the HGG page you can revisit past gatherings.
http://www.harpguitars.net/hgg/hgg.htm

Sometime in the next couple of weeks Gregg will update the HGG8 page with photos and more in-depth stories of all that happened.
It was going to be hard to top last years Williamsburg VA, Halloween hijinx. However, we did manage some hilarious moments this year as well as some outstanding performances and informative lectures. The panel on sub muting was both. Brad's genius to video the players techniques and display the close ups on a large screen led to his now famous quote," No! I want to be on top this time."
Keep up to date with everything HG related by following the threads on the Harp Guitar forum.

Wow Stephen! That Harp guitar is fantastic looking! I'm still looking to pick one up, but they're hard to find, and a little pricey. I really like yours. Bevel and all. Did I say wow?

here are pics of my harp guitar. after playing it for a few months, I'm really liking the thing! I have been practicing Hedge's Because It's There. Pretty awesome song and I'm getting the hang of it.

Unfortunately, I've been talking to one luthier about having one made...... Unfortunate because of the money, but fortunate because it surely would be fun. but here are the pics!

Good luck with that one Eric! I was hanging out with Andy last week and he passed over the Greenfield harp guitar for me to play.

Great instrument, total masterpiece, but something that demands at least a year of calm, gentle dedication to get into I'd imagine...

Of course, Andy made it roar and it was wonderful!
