Used price for a Rainsong Black Ice WS?
Curious if anyone has a rough idea of a fair used price for a Rainsong Black Ice WS in "mint" condition? I have an opportunity to pick one up. It is listed at a bit more than the MAP of a brand new H-WS, and given that sponsors will provide a discount, not sure it is worth getting a used Black Ice of a new H-WS. At least this way, with your guidance, I know what a fair price would be for that guitar.
Would love to hear your thoughts on this. Thank you!

I’ve seen them listed used for $2200 but thought that was high. I would think that somewhere in the $2k range would be reasonable.

GC has a used Black Ice Parlor for $1700
WS ought to be maybe 100-200 more.

I know it was not asked, but I like the tone of the hybrid models better than the all CF options.

Thank you. Actually, I was curious about this. I have a hybrid OM that I like, wanted to go a little larger for live performances. Love the look of the Black Ice, wasn't sure how it compared tonally. How would you describe the difference?

If the Black Ice guitars sound like the standard all CF instruments, more treble and less bass. I used to own a Concert Dreadnought and I thought it was a bit too bright too. Lately I've got a CH-PA (for plugged-in gigging and airplane rides) and a CH-WS (for true acoustic guitar usage) and they both sound very traditional to me with good projection. I've also owned a H-DR and it was a good instrument too but I decided to "standardize" on the 12-fret neck with a cut-away.
