Thanks everyone for posting in this thread and for checking out the pictures/soundclips/videos.
The cold weather has been creeping in and the humidifier runs pretty much all day. I'm really glad to report that the Kraut OM hasn't moved at all so far. I regularly examine the guitar and carefully touch the more fragile areas and everything seems to be holding up fine. Here are links to a couple of videos (in HD) I have recently posted in the Show & Tell section: Si Bheag Si Mhor: http://youtu.be/Y05jPNueMjc Fields of Gold: http://youtu.be/iisVG2s1p8I The guitar is strung up with 14-59s. I find my attack a bit too "heavy" on Si Bheag Si Mhor -- but I think the sound on the Fields of Gold recording is the best I could manage to date. |

Joe, the videos were excellent!!! And your Kraut sounds wonderful as well -- very full and articulate.

In just a few weeks, there will be an Olson hanging on the same stand as the Kraut...
Until then, here's video of An Ciarraioche Mallaithe, as posted in the Show and Tell section: http://youtu.be/Nb9fkBItq_Q And as a Custom Shop exclusive, here is a quick arrangement of Ashokan Farewell: http://youtu.be/NM7HkhTmYgk |

I just discovered this thread and will add my congratulations on a beautiful guitar and for such lovely and tasteful playing. I am enjoying the sound clips and videos. The guitar is stunning - not surprising given everything I have heard and seen about Ray's work. And your playing is inspiring.
Best, Jayne |

Please write a book of your arrangements
Mau,
I love your choice of songs, your playing and especially your arrangements. I implore you to write a book of your arrangements of traditional songs, especially the Irish ones. I will buy the first copy. I'm sure you could sell a lot of copies here on AGF and elsewhere. I have a very similar taste in the songs I choose to play on guitar. I would love to learn your arrangements, but it's much easier for me to learn with sheet music/tab accompanying the video or audio. Thanks so much for posting these high quality videos. I will try my best to figure out your arrangements until you write your book. John |

Thanks so much for your supportive words!
I had a real blast recording these, particularly "An Ciarraioch Mallaithe" as it's an easy piece and the guitar sang forever in the higher register. |
