Default NGD Martin D-28 Marquis

I picked up a new to me 2014 Martin D-28 Marquis. I've had it for a week and I have been playing it none stop. It fits nicely tone wise between my Martin D-41 and my Collings D3H

The D-28 Marquis is a monster. Congrats! That's a fine cache of dreads you have there. Think I could live comfortably at your house!

Beautiful!

I also appreciate your cloth covers on the stands so the guitar's finish never touches (and is damaged by) whatever synthetic material stand-makers used.

That's a beauty! It fits right in with the rest of them. I'm a dreadnought man as well. Where did you get the cloth stand-support covers? Are they homemade?

You need a neighbor who hangs around too much?

I'll clean them for you. LOL

What makes it a "Marquis"? Forgive my ignorance.

Good for you! I think the Marquis are awesome, but I’m biased.

The best sounding guitar I’ve ever played was a D28 marquis so congratulations on a great guitar

That's great man, love it!

If you don't mind sharing, what did you use to cloth wrap the stands? It looks neat and tidy, unlike my cut up t shirts.

Congrats on scoring a great Martin!

For fun, how do you rank those 3 if you had to?

Thank You, Yes the covers are home made from an old towel, old blue jeans, and an old guitar case lining and a hot glue gun.

At first I wasn't sure it would last but it's been all of ten to twelve years ago and they are all holding up great.

I do remember I liked working with the Blue jeans the best.
