Default PAINT ME A BIRMINGHAM... on my D18

Hi friends,

Bein' that my bride is a Florida girl that lived in Birmingham for many years, she took me there and showed all the wonderful lil' places from Helena, Hoover and Tuscaloosa. We were there this past November for her daughter's wedding (my stepdaughter Sadie for which I named my D18 after, her mom, my bride told me the D18 was THE one when I was lookin' back in '14 and so this guitar is special to me)…. so I woke up the other day and thought of this song I hadn't played in long while and thought I'd bring it back to life noledog style. It is such a sweet song and has become special to me as I'm so in love with my 'Bama bride, have a wonderful daughter and son there, and just came to love Birmingham and all the lil' towns around it. No I have not converted from noledog to bamadog, but there is a warm spot for Roll Tide for my bride...
A joyfully blessed Valentines to all

** I recorded this Tracy Lawrence cover simply on my D18 unplugged with my ol' Canon camera... JP New Med PB's a few weeks old and a Blue Chip TAD-1R60 plectrum. Best with headphones in HD, enjoy!

Enjoyed it! Not heard that song before (though I could see a medley into chicken fried) and it was a fun song. Your vocals were heartfelt and your playing was very easy. Not that I mean it was easy to play, but I liked your comfortable playing style.

Cheers

Dave

Very well done Eric! I like your very relaxed vocal delivery on this piece! And you D-18 sounds might fine!

I'm glad to know you are happy in your life right now! Good for you Eric!

Eric.. Dude!! ... That was fantastic! Especially beautiful and uplifting to hear on this sorta "dreary" Monday morning.

Your Vocals, delivery, guitar sound.. from a camera no less... All Excellent

I enjoyed that song. Admire the relaxed way you play so powerfully. Man, you don't need anything else than your great voice and your D-18. Perfect twin!

Hi Dave,

I appreciate your kind comments! ...Chicken Fried medley, hmm? That's a good idea!

Cheers,

Great cover!

It's always nice to see my home state NOT being the butt of an overdone joke.

Awww brother. So sweet. Nice and raw and honest... And your D18 sounds 75 years old.
