Just acquired this guitar, it looks original to me but I’m no expert. Definitely needs a neck reset, the action was unplayable. The frets are very worn as well. One crack about 3 inches long on the bass side along the edge. Looking for recommendations for someone to bring it back to life. Any ideas on value once it’s fixed.IMG_0796.jpgIMG_0795.jpgIMG_0794.jpgIMG_0792.jpgIMG_0791.jpgIMG_0787.jpgIMG_0788.jpgIMG_0790.jpg

If you have a legit pre-war Martin, I would suggest sending it directly to Martin - it's worth the investment.

I would send it to John Arnold ... without question.
John contributes to the Build and Repair forum ... you could send him a PM and ask him if he is able to take it on. |

If that's a real deal pre-war shade top, then you've got quite a valuable instrument, valuable enough that it would be worth whatever it would cost to have it repaired by the best luthier you can possibly find.

Nice guitar!
If the finish is original, it could be worth over $10K. Shaded top prewar Martins are much more valuable than natural tops. |
