Thanks everyone! I'm really happy with how this one turned out and also glad I finally recorded that song for one of my demos. The intro has been the first thing I play on every new guitar (or any guitar I'm playing for the first time) for the past 10 years or so. I like the mix of ringing notes and open strings -- really lets me hear the sustain and how much the guitar can sing. It only took me 10 years to finally getting around to learning the whole song!

Love the video Mike ... great playing! The guitar sounds sweet even through my crappy computer speakers!

I did a final photoshoot yesterday for this guitar...
For the next couple of photos, you can really see some of the key things I go for when I'm carving a neck. In this shot, if you look at the right side of neck you can see that the straight line continues behind the volute. I really try to keep these straight lines going as far as I can while still having a smooth and graceful transition. I find that a lot of necks flare out near the volute and heel -- not ideal especially if you like to wrap your thumb! In case you missed it from my previous post, here's a video of it in action... http://youtu.be/hhLoN0Cxpbg This guitar should be arriving at The Acoustic Music Company in the next week or so -- if you're in the area give it a try and let me know what you think!
