Imo you should look at bridge replacement as the absolute last resort, and definitely do not do it yourself. It's actually a pretty hard job, and no offence but your chances of acing it your first time are pretty slim, and you're more likely to devalue the guitar further than to improve it.
If the slots and ramps are something you really can't live with as is, I would suggest slowly and patiently filling them with Ebony dust and CA. In Canada, we used Lee Valley cabinetmakers glue, but I don't know what they use in California. I really don't think you need to or should pull the bridge. .02 |
