I didn't know you were supposed to keep the cases - I thought they were just needed for shipping so I throw them out once I've received the guitar.*

*Not really, but couldn't resist. One of the reasons I've been so delighted with the move to carbon fiber guitars is I don't have to worry about keeping them out.

My lutenist friend has a long (as opposed to steep) staircase running through the centre of her duplex, over which her late husband built a pull-out kind of rack that holds her theorbo and some other big cases. Very nifty!

I have a lot going on inside my guitar cases.
2 capos, extra picks, 2 tuners, strap, cleaning cloth, 2 humidifiers, a set of strings and a recipe card that has string change info.

Under the bed, in the attic and under a love seat. Basically anywhere they’ll fit where the wife won’t see them.

The short answer is all over the place. I have 5 out in my music room, a few in closets in various rooms, and a few under beds in various rooms.

Under the bed, with all guitars in their original cases, to keep the guitars as safe as possible and to keep to my spouse's wishes not to see them! This also helps me keep the number down-- but in an emergency, I have thought of stackable bed risers like are used in college dorm rooms... although it could wind up being an awfully long way down to the floor in the morning...

Yep, that picture is how I have my guitars arranged.

I have a closet on the back side of my studio where there are no windows, so I have all my cases lined up in there. There are even a few guitars in there that I am not using at present.

I used iron racks to place the hard-shell cases on top of moisture-proof cabinets.

Default How/where is everyone storing their hardshell cases?

I just use two Hercules GS525B Guitar Racks (for 5 Guitars). They are £100 ish. I remove all the segregating foam rings and point the neck holders backwards. I can get 5 hard cases in each.

Mine are just like this. I tend to keep an ever-changing pair of guitars out at a time on Zither stands, but when not in use each one stays in its case all the time. When both Martin dreads are on the stands, I get their identical cases mixed up.
