Default Neat trick to retrieve pick?

Dropped a pick into the sound hole. Can't seem to shake it out. Is there some trick to this?

Ha! No.

But what works for me is to center the pick under the soundhole, then quickly flip with an arcing motion, and if lucky it will fall out. If not, repeat.

A loop of tape on the end of a chopstick works for me.

The trick is to have many picks.

I've always just turned the guitar upside down and "hopped" the pick out. Never took more than a minute.

Yep, I’m with Dave. Same technique. Takes a minute…usually less.

Same except the tape on the eraser end of a pencil.

less booze works best from my experience. The best is when it hops out onto the strings and then jumps back into the box on the next shake.

Hi link…

Yup - easiest I've ever found.

I had a handicapped student who frequently dropped their pick inside (at least once per lesson). His hands had limited strength and flexibility due to the meds he had to take.

I kept a pencil with a reversed loop of painter's tape stuck to the end sitting on the stand, and it took about 10 seconds.

I was able to monitor if he'd been practicing by how many picks we removed before each lesson.

Tie a rope to the headstock and twirl the guitar fast, counter clockwise. The direction is important. If you’re in the southern hemisphere, go clockwise.

You must sacrifice by burning your best guitar while praying to the pick gods. This only can be done on odd numbered Sundays.
