I bought this beauty back in '84 for $500
This is hands down the best deal I've ever gotten on the most beautiful guitar I've ever owned.

Do I still have the most attractive guitar I've owned?
With regards to acoustics, yes. My Breedlove Pursuit Exotic Concertina in Prairieburst is going nowhere (it sounds as good as it looks). As for electrics - weeelllll, I kind of regret getting rid of my 2012 Grestch Country Club (one of these days I'll probably get another one - I never seem to get over Country Clubs, sooner or later I get another one).

My best looking guitar. Sounds and plays good too. It’s a mouthful too....Faith Venus Blood Moon Burst! Still with me.

I really need to get them repaired and polish them every now and then. I don't deserve nice things.

My wife owns a 1960 Gibson J200. Beautiful MOP inlays. A bit of flame and quilt in the maple but back in the day Gibson did not seem to care much about the look of the maple
I have always pretty much preferred Plain Jane guitars. Like a good Telecaster they have everything you need and nothing you do not. Some of my guitars such as my 1953 blonde Epiphone Triumph Regent do have an elegance to them. Kind of like a black dress accented with a string of pearls. But if I had to single one out as the prettiest of the lot it would be my 1932 Gibson L1. What makes it stand out of the crowd is its hand rubbed finish which displays a nice tiger stripe. I have never run across another one with that effect. Quirky guitar in that it has soundhole binding which Gibson pretty much abandoned on the model after 1929.

I have guitars with bling and with almost no bling and I like them all. My oldest guitar is my Wingert 00 that I purchased used. Classy abalone triangle inlay design on the headstock with a simple abalone rosette and microdot markers on the fret board. Flamed koa binding.
My Wingert custom is by far the blingy-est guitar that I own with a fabulous inlay in MOP of an egret, abalone top edge purfling with koa binding and a simple abalone rosette. The nicest necklace I own. The Kramer sports more of a traditional vibe with snowflake inlays and a modern faux tortoise pick guard. After tone and playability, I like a guitar to be attractive to my eye. Best, Jayne |

The Alvarez-Yairi DY-53N is scarce. They only made the "N" version (3-piece rosewood back) for one year.
Took me a few years, but I found one. Very cool guitar, a real looker. But it was a dud, the only one of the 8-10 A-Ys I've owned. It didn't stay long, unfortunately.

It could come down to a few of them, but whichever one it is I still have it.
