I Want You With Me - original
This song came to me in December, years ago, and it always reminds me of winter.
This, from my album, "Behind the Mask", is the final song on the record, "I Want You With Me"... recorded after a 14 hour day of recording all the rhythm tracks for all the songs on the disc, I was entreated by the bassist, Dennis Murphy, to "play that one where you just want 12 string and bass...". We did one take and I didn't like it, didn't think it was "good enough" for the record. Dennis Murphy told me to give it a few days and listen to it again; so I did... and I changed my mind. John, the link in your post brings up an error message so, I think something is missing in the string. I logged in to SoundCloud, searched for your song and came up with this link: https://soundcloud.com/john-seth-she...nt-you-with-me I know it looks the same as the link in your post but, yours doesn't work and this one does! I have no idea why!!
Anyway....it sounds good! Nicely played and sung!

John I found the happy smooth melody contrast to the somewhat melancholy lyric interesting...clever and well done! The vox, guitar and recording are wonderful, very enjoyable to listen to.

Eric, interesting comment regarding the melody vs. lyric content. I assure you that I never even thought about that as I was writing the song; as I mentioned, I just woke up one morning and the entire piece "fell into my lap"!
