Default When Sunny Gets Blue - Fingerstyle Instrumental

This was one of my favorite tunes growing up, I remember learning to play in in my brief attempt to play piano. I'm playing my Kent Hamblin GC in DADGAD tuning.

I've released a transcription for this over on SheetMusicPlus

Wow, Doug, just beautiful! Wonderful to hear DADGAD with such a variety of easy, jazz type sounds. As always your touch and phrasing are great. The Hamblin is gorgeous. There were times when I looked for and considered a guitar built by Kent.
Thanks for sharing this tune!
Best,
Fred

Great job on a venerable, iconic tune Doug... very demanding and your arrangement is lovely!

Wonderful recorded tone as well; the Hamblin sounds marvelous! Does it have a German spruce top? Beautiful guitar, WILD side wood!

Thanks for posting, wishing you and yours all the best through these times...

Thanks. It's an Englemann spruce top, greatly darkened now compared to 20 years ago when it was nearly pure white. Back and sides are Brazilian Rosewood, but with a very different figure I've not seen elsewhere. Here's the back:

Loved the song, the performance, and the view outside the window! What a beautiful background.
