Some say Non-VTS is better than Torrified top. Forum members are of varying opinion. Seems that it varies by each particular guitar.

I have learned from an established authority that rear shifted guitars such as this give "greater definition to the bottom end" and balance vs front-shifted which have "more rumble and resonance".
