Molly is playing July 17 at Berklee in Boston (her alma mater) for $18.

This an interesting interview with her. Near the end she demonstrates the clawhammer style on guitar, a style I've only heard on banjo before.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LRK32n_SXNs

I did notice, BTW, that she uses a ToneDexter.

Can someone tell me what guitar she's holding?

It looks kind of like the one she got from Preston Thompson back before he passed. I can't say for sure but it does resemble it?

I saw her at the Mariposa Folk Festival last summer and was blown away. She is a great clawhammer banjo player as well. I believe I've seen her play Scruggs style banjo as well.
I love her vocals too.

I'm a little late to the party. I only found her video of "Gentle on My Mind" a month or so ago, but I've been playing it quite a lot ever since.

Saw her last year a couple of times at the Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield, Kansas. She is as good in person, as on video.

+1

It looks like the moderator deleted the post.

Whether is was serious or made in jest, no one would make the same kind of comment about a male performer.

Thanks, moderator, whoever you are!

Saw her at the Ashe County Arts right as the new album came out.
While I like her songwriting, as a guitar player what I really like is when she lets fly. Thankfully she did indulge in some fireworks for us. :-)

Have seen her twice: the first time with Rachel Baiman before an audience of about 40, the second time on her own and the audience was 4x as big. She should be huge and it's well-deserved.

She’s had her fair share of endorsements in her short career. She used to play Martin dreads...then Huss & Dalton signed her. Then it was Preston Thompson, and I believe she’s playing Pre-War Guitars as of late.
