As Mark mentioned, I've been spending some time with this wonderful guitar. It's a fantastic sounding, looking and playing guitar. As good as his photos are they don't do his guitars justice, they're just so pretty in real life. I'm the proud owner of one of his Crossover guitars that I love. Here's a link to that build thread - http://www.acousticguitarforum.com/f...hlight=hatcher

Mark, is a building a truly wonderful guitar. He's an extremely talented guy. Very highly recommended.

Kindly,
Danny

Thank-you very much for your kind words Kevin and Danny.
And Danny thank-you very much for doing up some wonderful sound clips of this guitar.
Here are two more sound clips that Danny recorded;

Also, I'd like everyone to know that I have just put this guitar up in the Market

Default Sound Port

I have a final post for this guitar build thread. The guitar is sold and the customer asked for a sound port. I have to admit it is hair raising to push a drill bit into a finished guitar!
This first picture is the clamp I made to apply pressure to the reinforcement plate I installed before cutting the sound port out to full size.

I put a layer of Maple in the reinforcement plate so we would have a purfling line;

Here it is all finished and off to it's new home;

Thanks for viewing!

Mark, your work is elegant and beautiful. Where in NJ are you? I'm on Long Island and have family in NJ and occasionally travel there on business. I don't know if you welcome shop visits, but it would be really nice if I could arrange to stop in if in the area before you head to New Hampshire.

Glad this one found a home!!

Mike

Hi Mike,

Thanks for your comments. Yes, I would certainly welcome a visit. I'm in Milltown NJ. I have a lot going on now so I'd have a lot to show you. I'll be going up to NH about every third week to set up the shop and house. We won't actually be making the move until July. Give me a heads up before you come to confirm I'm here.

Thanks Again,
Mark

Default Josie YouTube build pics and sound clips

Hello,

I put together this YouTube of build pics and sound clips from this guitar. Danny Combs was kind enough to provide the sound samples:

Thanks Again

Mark, your building approach is so clean and neat - and so is the sound of this guitar.

Thanks Daniel and mcozma,

This was my first build thread and I have been very happy to have gotten so much support from all the folks that participate, including other builders.
It's very encouraging. I have a lot more coming up and hope the support continues!
I'm bumping the YouTube up so it doesn't get lost in the thread:

Thanks Again,
Mark
