Default Small Active DI to get the best out of Yamaha’s Zero Impact Pickup

I’m looking for a small active DI box that will simply boost the signal of my passive pickup in my Yamaha LJ16BC. I don’t want any fancy features just something that will fit in the case storage. I usually use a multi effects pedal but a lot of the time open mics and small gigs I just want to plug it straight in.

I want phantom or 9v battery. I was thinking the radial SB-4 as it has a 5mohm impedance? Any other suggestions around or below that price point of similar quality?

The LR Baggs Para DI worked well with my LL16M A.R.E. it may be a touch bigger than you want. A used one can be had for under $100.

Yes, it would probably fit in the case also looked at the Fishman platinum stage which can be had for only a little more than the radial.

Red Eye Pre and Sunnaudio Stage DI could work. Both can be battery or phantom powered.

Fishman Platinum Stage is my recommendation. It does more than you need at the moment (EQ including sweepable mids) but it's fairly cheap, small, runs on batteries or phantom power and sounds great.
It has 10Mohm input impedance if you ever need to use it with a passive pickup.

Baggs Para is still the standard and I hear great things about the Fishman Platinum Stage. You won't go wrong with either: they're both powerful, toneful, and battery and phantom-powerable.

I’ve gone and ordered a Fishman Platinum Stage. It’s just something I can leave in the case with the guitar for when I don’t want to stage the T-Rex soulmate along with me. Should hopefully do a decent job
